Invasive Species Cleanup

Our team joined our partners at Clark Construction for an Invasive Species River Cleanup alongside the Friends of James River Park Systems. With guidance from the JRPS Invasive Species Management team, we learned about the impact of invasive plants and how removing them helps protect the park’s tree canopy.

We spent the day at Ancarrow’s Landing, cutting back aggressive vines to free native trees—a crucial effort to ensure the JRPS stays healthy for future generations. Without this work, the park’s landscape could look drastically different in just 20 years.

We’re proud to be part of an effort to preserve Richmond’s green spaces!
